Ricardo Acevedo is a multidisciplinary artist with over four decades of professional practice spanning fine art photography, poetry, video art, performance, and published works. After moving to San Francisco in late 1987, he began writing seriously while completing coursework at the San Francisco Art Institute in Performance Art, 3D Design, and Video Art. During this period, he was deeply engaged in the city’s literary and performance scene. Participating in regular readings through 1991 with the Zeitgeist Press, and Cafe Babar community. His work has appeared in numerous literary and art zines throughout the West Coast and South West. His photographs and video works have been displayed in independent galleries nationally and abroad.  His practice explores the human form, identity, mystery and experimental visual language.
